Residential Care Shift Leader – Basingstoke
About the role of Shift Leader – residential care:
We are currently recruiting for a motivational and enthusiastic Shift Leader to work in a young person’s residential home near to Basingstoke, Hampshire.
As Shift Leader you will support and lead a team of staff who will be caring for children and young adults with learning difficulties, predominantly autism.
Experience in supporting the educational and social development of children and young people with special needs is desirable, however, training will be offered. You will have good organisational skills and be an effective communicator. You will be adaptable in what can be a sometimes challenging environment and you must be emotionally resilient.
Requirements of the role of Shift Leader:
Applicants who wish to apply must be prepared to work shift patterns and will ideally have previous experience of supervising at a similar level, ideally within the care industry. The role will involve working in specialised residential homes caring for children as young as 5 through to young adults, up to 19 years old who have special educational needs, predominantly autism.
Experience in supporting the educational and social development of children and young people with special needs is desirable, however, training will be offered to all successful candidates.

Experience and qualifications required:
* Ideally you will have previous experience in supporting the educational and social development of children and young people with special needs
* We do require applicants to either have a QCF Level 3 Diploma in children/young people related area, or a willingness to work towards this as part of your ongoing training and support
Salary starts at £19,000 per annum depending on qualifications and previous experience.
