Residential Support Worker (shift work) – Basingstoke
About the role of Residential Support Worker:
Simply Supply are an education and childcare recruitment agency based in Hampshire and we are currently recruiting Residential Support Workers to support children and young adults with special educational needs in North Basingstoke.
These are permanent positions and we can offer the opportunity to both a full and part time basis, covering a variety of shift patterns including days, lates, nights and weekends. We are also looking for bank staff and term time only staff.
Requirements of the role of Residential Support Worker:
Applicants who wish to apply must be prepared to work shift patterns and will ideally have previous experience of working within a similar environment for another care provider as the role will involve working in specialised residential homes caring for children as young as 5 through to young adults, up to 19 years old who have special educational needs, predominantly autism. Experience in supporting the educational and social development of children and young people with special needs is desirable, however, training will be offered to all successful candidates.
Although you will be based in these residential homes, at times you may be required to accompany the child to school and on visits/trips in the evenings and at weekends.

Experience and qualifications required:
* Ideally you will have previous experience in supporting the educational and social development of children and young people with special needs
* We do require applicants to either have a QCF Level 3 Diploma in children/young people related area, or a willingness to work towards this as part of your ongoing training and support
Salaries for these roles depend on hours and experience but range from £13,500 – £17,800 per annum.
